The sinks on the west side of the garrison should be removed to the east side and so constructed as to be kept in a cleanly condition. They should be frequently inspected by the officer of the day, as those at the post are in a very filthy state. All the dirt accumulated in policing should be carried at least a quarter of a mile beyond and deposited on the east side of the garrison, the prevailing wind being from the west and southwest. The company messing arrangements at the post are very imperfect.
